The wood surface should be clean and dry. Treat a sample area on the surface to ensure the color is correct. For maximum adhesion, the surface should be sanded at 120 grit. Pay close attention to the sanding process as imperfections can be highlighted. For example, if using an orbital sander, the swirl marks will be highlighted when the wood is finished. Mix contents of can thoroughly before use.
Apply using a roller or a brush (can be sprayed), in a thin, uniform layer. Let it soak in for a few minutes and then remove any excess oil with a clean lint-free cloth. Excess oil will give optical irregularities on the surface and have a negative effect on the hardening of the treated surface.
At 60 degrees Fahrenheit and relative humidity of 65%, drying time is 24-36 hours. The surface will reach best hardness in 3 weeks. For the first 3 weeks, do not clean or cover the surface.
Depending on the absorption of the wood, coverage is 40-50 square meters.
